THE PILLARS OF THE SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY
WE PRESENT OUR THIRD SUSTAINABILITY REPORT!
Mondorevive strongly believes in the values of increasingly responsible and sustainable production.
This is why our strategies and actions, summarised below, are fully aligned with the global and national policies on sustainable development and the circular economy, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and the National Strategy for Sustainable Development 2017-2030.
We obtained our first Sustainability Report in 2020, and we renewed our commitment in 2021. The salient aspects are summarized here. Mondorevive makes its effective contribution to an increasingly circular economy for sustainable development.
Values such as sustainability and circularity are now an integral part of our business and inform all our strategies and actions. A significant example of this is the decision, taken in November 2020, to change our company name from “Mondoplastico S.p.A.” to “Mondorevive S.p.A.”.
Also in 2020, a Group Code of Ethics was drawn up and adopted to provide guidance to the various corporate functions in preparing and updating procedures; supervising compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements and legal obligations; supervising respect for people and equal opportunities, compliance with rules of conduct and corporate activities focused on sustainable development; and adopting the most effective measures to preserve the environment for the benefit of the community and future generations.
Through the Sustainability Report, we wish to share with all our stakeholders the principles of our corporate strategy as well as the actions and results achieved in the three-year period 2018-2021 in support of the environment and sustainable development.
WE BELIEVE IN THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY TO ENSURE A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
mondosd aims to allow the recovery of plastic materials deriving from industrial and post-consumer production waste. Thanks to a process certified by CSI, mondosd produces material suitable for use in normal industrial cycles, thus avoiding its disposal. This is made possible thanks to the work of a team of highly qualified people who promote a conscious recovery of waste and propose the best solutions to make it possible to re-insert these materials within the production cycle.
mondosd boasts a UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System and UNI EN ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System certified by CSI Spa; and shares with employees, suppliers and partners the respect of ethical and social values of which our Code of Ethics is the starting point. We have certified our plastic management process by by-products (references art. 184bis Legislative Decree 152/06 and UNI 10667 standard) and management of MPS Secondary Raw Materials (references art. 184ter Legislative Decree 152/06 and UNI 10667 standard).
